No to folds!

Our rolls differs fundamentally from common systems and is optimal suitable for handling very sensitive and elastic material. The basic principle of our system is to keep the necessary additional tension as low as possible. We have achieved this by using a metallic roll surface at which the coefficient of the friction is very low to the most different materials. Folds will be removed in a gentle way without causing overexpansion at elastic textiles or foils, without tearing at even wet paper and without draft of the filling yarn at fabrics.

The effectiveness is similar gentle as removing the folds by hand. Analogue thereto the smoothing is carried out from the middle. By using a special bearing the rolling friction can be compared to that of an usual guide roll. Therefore the tension can be kept very low which has shown that at certain materials even folded egdes can be unfolded again. An additional drive is in any case not necessary.
The POLICOLL-ROLL 105 B can be transformed, during operation, from a simple guide roll into an optimal fine-adjustable spreader roll. It consists out of two parts which are supported on blades at their outer ends and in the middle. To adjust the spreading effect the blades which are fixed to the base profile can be pivoted in the opposite direction exactly symmetric to their starting position by using a self-locking worm gear, either hand operated or remote controlled.

The POLICOLL-ROLL 106 B (without figure) is a simpler version. The main difference is that the blades can be adjusted individually and independent of one another. Therefore e. g. an one-sided loose edge of a fabric can be compensated.
